Well, that’s the summer holidays just about done and dusted. Although, to be truthful, there’s not been a lot of dust. I may have a dislike of very hot weather but it’s been a bit so-so in the weather department. The long lost sunny blue sky days of our youth never quite seems to match the reality of a British summer…
Phew! At long last Term 6 has come to an end, and as Alice Cooper sang, ‘School’s out’ for the summer.
Hurrah for the Summer Holidays then! It’s been a tough old year in education and it’s a miracle we’ve all managed to get to the end in relatively one piece.
January, and we find ourselves in the entirely predictable situation of another lockdown. We were back at school for just the one day, having been told that they were safe the day before. Then we were told to close as schools were a ‘vector of transmission’ and thus not safe. So here we go yet again!
Ah! It’s that Christmas time of the year yet again! And it’s going to be a very, very different and strange festive season than the usual one. Bristol has moved from Tier 3 to Tier 2 and back to Tier 3 within the space of a week. And with the numbers of infections going up things are only going to get worse…
